The following forms should be used to refer a family to the Parent Aide program. Client eligibility is as follows:
Parent Aide Wayne County:
- Families with an open DHS Children’s Protective Service case (category I, II and III).
- Families with one or more children in out-of-home placement.
- Families open to prevention services with DHS local office exception.
- DHS adoptive families for whom a need for post adoptive services has been identified.
- Families whose case was closed within the past 18 months
- Families who have had 3 or more rejected CPS complaints.
Please use the form to refer a family from Wayne County.
Parent Aide Macomb County:
- Families with an open CPS case (categories I and II)
- Families with one or more children in out of home placement
- DHS adoptive families for whom a need for post adoptive services has been identified.
- Children and families investigated by CPS within the previous 18 months (categories III and IV)
Please use the form MC 0048 to refer a family from Macomb County.
Healthy Families:
Clients may be referred to the Parent Aide program from the Healthy Families program if they are in need of more one on one, hands on assistance for household organization and or-cleanliness than their outreach work is able to provide.
